Anna Meyer Children’s Hospital has the largest pediatric endocrinology unit in Tuscany and one of the more bigger of the Italy, with over 12,000 patient visits each year.
The Auxology and Pediatric Endocrinology and Gynecology Unit provides all endocrinology services to Children's Health. Our full-service outpatient facility offers state-of-the-art diagnoses, treatment, and management of endocrine disorders, including thyroid, growth, and other endocrine-based conditions, such as sexual development, calcium, thyroid, and adrenal diseases, as weel as many rare diseases with endocrine involvments.
Our center is a major referral center for the Tuscany of Health Newborn Screening Program for congenital hypothyroidism and serves a diverse population of children ranging from birth to 18 years of age. However, our expert pediatric endocrinologists and endocrinologists treat children with endocrine and metabolic disorders, along with our kid-friendly team of nurse specialists, nutritionists, and psychologists. Additionally, Anna Meyer Children’s University Hospital offers care on-site for conditions that require other pediatric specialists, such as genetics, neurology, neurosurgery, oncology, nephrology, radiology, surgery and many other specialists.
